Founded in 1852, Casa De Tableta is the second oldest continually operating tavern in California. While the name may have changed numerous times during its rich history, 167 years later the Alpine Inn continues to attract customers to the beer garden on the banks of Los Trancos Creek.

In 2018, Deke & Lori Hunter, Fred & Stephanie Harman, & Jim Kohlberg bought the iconic, Alpine Inn to update & restore it. They worked alongside Greg St. Claire of Avenir Restaurant Group & were able to reopen in August 2019 after months of construction & refurbishments.

We are a casual first come first serve beer garden. Our tables are communal and meant to be shared. We do not take reservations.

Large Party Reservations

We do not take reservations for large parties. Rather than being closed the whole summer/year waiting for our PG&E power upgrades we decided to refurbish and restore the historic tavern and existing small kitchen. Servicing our local community and patrons in the beer garden is a top priority while we work toward a kitchen expansion. At the moment we are unable to reserve or hold tables. Currently the only reservations we are taking are for full restaurant buyouts. We will be sure to update here when this changes.

Buyout the Restaurant

We do allow for buyouts. The venue is perfect for large company events, weddings or special family celebrations. Please fill out the event request form and we can custom craft a party for your group. We seat up to 300 with 50 year rounds seats in the Tavern and a seasonal beer garden for 250.

Pricing for full buyout starts at:
Tues-Thurs Lunch: 11:30am to 3:30 pm $6,500 plus tax & tip.
Friday Lunch: 11:30am to 3:30 pm $7,500 plus tax & tip.
Sat-Sun Lunch: 11:00am to 3:30 pm $15,000 plus tax & tip.

Tues-Thurs Dinner: 5:30 pm to 11 pm $15,000 plus tax & tip.
Fri-Sat Dinner: 5:30 pm to 11 pm $25,000 plus tax & tip.
Sunday Dinner: 5:00 pm to 10 pm $20,000 plus tax & tip.
